On 31 October 2026, singers from across Belgium gathered at the Anglican Church in Gent for a workshop on Advent music led by Dr. Jodi Penner and accompanied by Marilyn Williams. Over the course of the day, the musicians learned new pieces for the Advent season and new versions of well known songs. They sang in English, Zulu, Flemish and German. This was the first workshop event organsied by the Anglican Music Centre in Belgium which is a branch of the Anglican Institute in Belgium. Everyone was very enthusiastic despite the autumnal chill in the air.
The next training event involving the Anglican Music Centre is on 21 November 2026 at St. Paul’s, Tervuren. More information here.
