On Thursday 9 July 2026, the Interim-Principal of the AIB gave a lecture making the case that the 21st Century is the Golden Age of Anglican worship music as part of the 1-week intensive course on Anglican/English Cathedral Music at the University of Utrecht Summer School. In the afternoon, Emilie Bels, who has been instrumental in setting up a Anglican Music Centre as part of the AIB’s scope of work, gave a presentation ‘Performative Outreach or inclusion? A critical reflection on cathedral schools singing programmes’. Such courses are an important part of the development and training for Anglican ministry in Belgium.
